The Worshipful Company of Distillers was founded in 1638 to support the trade of distilled spirits in the City of London. The Distillers’ Charity was established in 1956 and has three principal grant giving activities. Its Youth Action Fund looks to transform the life chances of 16 to 25-year-old people in Scotland, by empowering them to create positive and lasting change in their lives. Livery & City Giving supports young people, particularly from disadvantaged backgrounds, including those in our industry suffering from hardship. The charity also support several Vocational Training and Education programmes. Each year, we grant bursaries to support those in need develop their careers through professional qualifications, award scholarships to recognise excellence, and host several educational events.
